forecasters coming up in just a bit. >> we begin this morning on the peninsula, where another gun buyback program is taking place. police agencies from east palo alto, menlo park, and palo alto are sponsoring the no questions asked gun purchase at east palo alto city hall. kron4 mike pelton is there with more. >> the police agencies are also partnering up with a nonprofit organization. this gun buyback has become popular with the the past few months. so far, no one is lining up. you can see that it is tape often this is where everything is set to happen later on. this event runs from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.. there are no questions asked but they did mention that the cash is limited. they will pay $100

took his first-ever outside prison walls of friday. spent nearly seven years in prison. his conviction was recently dismissed. kron 4 dan carmen was there to capture his first reaction to being a free man. >> today is a lovely day. it is a blessed day for may. >> he called his attorney is the dream team and he accredited his family for keeping their spirits up when he was behind bars. >> while ross admits that he was angry he stated that he eventually was able to set that aside a fine piece. >> god has given me a second chance.

>> as for the police and the district attorney who put him out time bars he had this message for them. >> i told them that they should do a better investigation for the jobs that they have before they put someone in jail for a crime that they did not commit. they shall look really careful before they arrest someone for no reason. >> ross, said that he met other prisoners who is they were also probably convicted in an error. >> i just want to show them the right path to take. >> just before leaving ross said that the breeze and the sunshine was a nice view. he stated that he is looking forward to reuniting with his family and take a vacation to the south to visit his four sons and his father. >> san francisco's chinese
